My name is Daniel Espinosa Ramos. I have spent over a decade making a living from online marketing. I have built strategies that grew businesses, taken plenty of hits along the way, and I do not regret a single one.

Why I do this

I like marketing. I like it a lot.

And that, in someone who has spent his whole life looking for the thing that not only pleased him but truly thrilled him, is gold. When I was young I tried to have a normal career, normal studies, and end up doing what was expected of me. The truth is I never fit that mould, and for a long time it was hard to accept.

But I was sure of one thing: I love learning. A lot. Since I was a kid I have learned things that were not meant to be absorbed at that age. And I always told my father that my dream was to end up working in an office with my computer, designing things. Spoiler: done.

Online marketing gave me the chance to dive into a world with the rules still unwritten, to be one of the people writing them, and to embark on a journey of learning without limits. There has not been a single day in my career when I have not learned something new. And that, nothing else, is what makes me want more with each passing day.

My story

From a borrowed laptop
to Marketing Ultra.

2011

Journalism

I started studying journalism: telling stories, asking the right questions and taking nothing for granted. That base still sits under everything I do.

2012

Radio + Frikarte

4 years on the radio and I launch Frikarte, my online magazine. Here I discover SEO, analytics and how to manage a team.

2015

E-commerce

I join an e-commerce and end up running the whole thing. The first of several. I learn that marketing without numbers is not marketing.

2018

Paid Media + Teams

I specialise in paid media and start leading teams. Two pillars that are still my core today.

2019

Agencies

My agency adventure begins: from building a project from scratch to running operations.

2020

Pandemic & attribution

COVID hits and you have to step up: I quickly specialise in attribution and profitability. The crisis seasons me as a marketer.

Teaching

I start teaching on my own and collaborating with educational institutions. Teaching is learning twice.

2023

Marketing Ultra is born

After years writing and working for others, I create a space that is only mine to express the marketing I believe in.

Artificial Intelligence

My passion takes a turn: AI becomes one of the most important verticals of my career. Same hunger, new rules.

Neurodivergent thinking

I am obsessed with reaching further, knowing more, seeing what no one else sees. Sometimes it is exhausting, but it is also what pushes me to grow to heights almost no one is willing to reach.

On my teams, neither results nor the daily grind come before people. They have to be satisfied and happy to give their best. Having a calling for people is what leads a team to victory.
