Si no, primero toca montar el servidor.</div>\n  </div>\n</div>\n\n<h2>Qué es Moonfin y qué no es</h2>\n<p>Moonfin es un cliente multimedia para servidores Jellyfin y Emby. Se instala en tu dispositivo y reproduce lo que tengas en el servidor: películas, series, música. Donde los clientes oficiales no llegan, Moonfin se cuela. Su terreno principal son los televisores Samsung (Tizen) y LG (webOS).</p>\n<p>¿Qué NO es? No es un servidor. No te da contenido. No sustituye a Jellyfin: lo complementa. Jellyfin es tu biblioteca; Moonfin, la pantalla donde la disfrutas. Si todavía no tienes un servidor montado, <a href=\"https://soymarketingultra.com/jellyfin-servidor-multimedia-gratis/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aquí explicamos cómo montar Jellyfin desde cero</a>. Primero eso, luego Moonfin.</p>\n<p>El lío viene de que Moonfin ha ido creciendo en funciones hasta un punto donde \"cliente multimedia\" se queda corto. La última que han metido es la que más ruido está haciendo.</p>\n\n<h2>Juegos retro en tu Smart TV: qué necesitas</h2>\n<p>La versión 2.7.0 de Moonfin Smart TV, publicada el 31 de julio de 2026, añadió un reproductor de juegos retro integrado. No es beta ni promesa de hoja de ruta: está en versión estable.</p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full mu-diagram\"><img src=\"https://soymarketingultra.com/wp-content/uploads/moonfin-el-cliente-jellyfin-que-emula-juegos-retro-en-t-diagrama.webp\" alt=\"Medidor vertical de compatibilidad retro en Smart TV: zona verde 8/16 bits sin problema, ámbar 32 bits con condiciones, oscura sin soporte.\" class=\"wp-image-5290\"/></figure>\n<p>¿Cómo funciona por debajo? Los juegos corren localmente en el televisor mediante <a href=\"https://emulatorjs.org/docs/systems/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EmulatorJS</a>. Tu servidor Jellyfin entrega las ROMs, las carátulas y los estados de guardado, pero la emulación la ejecuta el navegador de la tele con WebAssembly. No es juego en la nube: es tu televisor haciendo de consola.</p>\n<p>Para que funcione necesitas:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https://github.com/Moonfin-Client/Plugin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jellyfin 10.10 o superior</a> como servidor.</li>\n<li>El plugin Moonbase instalado en Jellyfin.</li>\n<li>Activar \"Enable retro games\" en la configuración de Moonbase y seleccionar las bibliotecas donde guardas las ROMs.</li>\n<li>Organizar tus ROMs en carpetas separadas por sistema (no hace falta que la carpeta raíz se llame ROMS).</li>\n<li>Una Smart TV Samsung con Tizen 5+ o LG con <a href=\"https://github.com/Moonfin-Client/Smart-TV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">webOS 5+</a>.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Versiones anteriores de Tizen o webOS no sirven para juegos: carecen de WebAssembly. El cliente general de Moonfin sí se instala en modelos más antiguos, pero la emulación exige ese mínimo.</p>\n<p>Y ojo con esto, que es importante: <a href=\"https://github.com/Moonfin-Client/Plugin/wiki/Retro-Games\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moonfin no distribuye ROMs ni archivos BIOS</a>. Los aportas tú y eres responsable de tener los derechos sobre ellos.</p>\n\n<h2>Qué consolas funcionan y dónde se queda corto</h2>\n<p>La <a href=\"https://github.com/Moonfin-Client/Plugin/wiki/Retro-Games\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">documentación de Moonbase</a> lista los sistemas compatibles en Smart TV: NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear, PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, Virtual Boy, varias Atari, WonderSwan, Neo Geo Pocket, PC Engine y arcade.</p>\n<p>La lista de lo que NO funciona dice tanto como la anterior. PSP no va en Smart TV. Saturn, Sega CD y 32X, tampoco. Nada que necesite multidisco (CUE/BIN, M3U). PlayStation funciona, pero necesita BIOS y una imagen de disco en un solo archivo.</p>\n<p>La lista oficial incluye sistemas de 8, 16 y 32 bits. Que un sistema aparezca en ella no garantiza que todos sus juegos vayan fluidos en tu televisor.</p>\n<p>Tiene todo el sentido. El procesador de una Smart TV no es el de un PC. EmulatorJS corre dentro de un navegador embebido con recursos limitados.</p>\n<p>El rendimiento depende del procesador y del navegador de cada televisor. No hemos probado estos sistemas en una TV concreta.</p>\n\n<h2>Instalación: sideloading y la curva real</h2>\n<p>Moonfin no está en la tienda de apps de Samsung ni de LG. No es difícil si sigues la documentación, pero tampoco es darle a \"instalar\" desde la tienda. Tiene curva, sobre todo la primera vez.</p>\n<p>Apostaría a que este es el punto donde más gente abandona. La emulación funciona una vez que todo está montado, pero llegar hasta ahí requiere alguien que no le tenga miedo a cacharrear con su televisor.</p>\n<p>Si eres de los que montan un servidor Jellyfin por diversión, esto es tu terreno.
